Insitutek were delighted to be an exhibitor at the DFI-PFSF Piling & Ground Improvement Conference 2022, held at the Sydney ICC from 16 – 18 Nov 2022, catching up with existing contacts and clients as well as meeting new ones. The conference, co hosted by the Piling and Foundation Specialists Federation (PFSF) and Deep Foundations Institute (DFI), covered all aspects of deep foundations, retention and ground improvement works.

Sessions in the program covered design, testing, construction, ground improvement, risk and project delivery practices, challenging project case studies, and developments and innovations.
Ground supported working platforms are critical for heavy equipment stability, and modern piling equipment is becoming heavier with higher centres of gravity to cater for the ever increasing market for deeper foundations.
“One third of accidents in the piling industry result from defects in the working platform.” – Terry Bolsher Chairman of the UK Federation of Piling Specialists
The experience in Australia is not dissimilar to the UK. Our insitu testing and clay soil stabilisation methods help reduce these risks.

Sometimes, it occurs that the best is saved for last. This was certainly the case for us. Booking a week in advance, we happened to get the most prominent booth of all the exhibitors and it also benefitted our friends from LandPac Asia Pacific who we also brought along.
