It was such a pleasure to welcome clients and prospective clients to booth 16A at the 13th ANZ Conference on Geomechanics last week in Perth. We were also privileged to have one of our supply partners from France, Sol Solution, join us.
Highlights at the Conference were:
- Mon 1st April: 15:30 – 15:45 – Meeting Room 1 – Adam Kemp – Integration of geotechnical models with data visualisation tools for the Ipswich Motorway upgrade – Rocklea to Darra
- Mon 1st April: 16:45 – 17:00 – Meeting Room 1 – Dr Burt Look Geotechnical Basics – Common Practices To Avoid (also afterwards an opportunity to discuss the Assessment of Compaction Quality Control Methods – NACOE Best Practice Research with Burt Look, who has been leading this project)
- Tue 2nd April: 17:20 – 17:35 – Meeting Room 2 – Amir Shahkolahi Weak subgrade treatment using geogrid reinforcement
We showing you devices like the PANDA® Instrumented DCP, Light Weight Deflectometer and Instrumented Plate Load Test and discussing topics like Intelligent Compaction.
Something new and pretty cool we introduced was the PANDOSCOPE®, a coupling of the PANDA® Instrumented Dynamic Cone Penetrometer (DCP) (tip resistance vs depth profile) and Geoendoscopy (imagery from down boreholes).
Probably the most valuable part of the conference was connecting in person with clients, and having them share with prospective clients their own experiences of the equipment and working with us. We also enjoying doing something we pride ourselves on doing well, connecting people together where there was mutual benefit to be had.
