Field Testing Expo Day
It was great to be a part of the Australian Geomechanics Society (Official Page) Queensland Branch’s Field Testing Expo Day; highlighting the value of site investigation in civil engineering projects and being surrounded by the latest innovations and equipment available for field testing.
Spending the day with colleagues and friends in the industry on the banks of the Brisbane River followed by the annual AGM dinner was a great way to finish 2020.
I would hate to go back to doing the Plate Load Test using the old method using dial gauges. It would be so time consuming, not to mention manually recording and then processing all the results.
I felt the training was very thorough. If anyone doesn’t know how to use a PANDA after that session, they shouldn’t be using one at all.
We find the Insitutek team extremely helpful and their knowledge of the equipment and its capabilities is a great resource for our staff.
