Using business as a force for good

We thrive on adding value to our clients, whether it be bringing them new business, connecting them with expertise they need or just keeping them up to date with what is happening elsewhere in their own organisation or within their industry.

Insitutek has excellent relationships in the civil construction industry, particularly in Australia and New Zealand. Join our online community on LinkedIn and become involved in relevant geotechnical, construction, pavement, asphalt and concrete discussion groups.

How we are using our Business as a Force for Good

Insitutek believe in doing business with a purpose beyond just making a profit, creating benefit for all stakeholders, not just our shareholders.

Certified B Corporation (B Corp) status is a rigorous independent global validation that Insitutek:

  • make decisions that make a positive impact across workers, clients, suppliers, community, and the environment.
  • meets the highest verified standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and legal accountability.

By balancing purpose and profit, Insitutek are using the power of business to help build a better economic system for the future; one that puts people and planet at the centre.

Find out how we do this.

  • For our clients, that means making complex technology understandable, enabling them to push forward with confidence.
  • For our workers, suppliers, and the community we support, that means fostering an environment aimed at making the impossible possible.
  • For the environment, that means supporting products and approaches that enable low carbon more sustainable civil construction.

Although a smaller business, we are making an impact in two ways:

  • Direct action in how we do business
  • Using influence within the civil engineering and civil construction industries.

Working in the civil construction space, we recognise that, in Australia, approximately 70% of greenhouse gas emissions come from infrastructure development and operations such as power plants, buildings, and transport. As a Certified B Corp, we are working hard to make our business a part of the solution, not part of the problem. The civil engineering and construction sectors have a huge role to play in addressing the carbon emissions reductions we need to achieve to minimise further global warming. Check out Ground Level Alliance, one of the organisations we are most proud to have seeded.

You can find out more about our other initiatives and our initial thinking and journey when becoming a BCorp.

Our Purpose is: To transform civil construction for a more sustainable world
